October 2011 Newsletter

Our 8th Annual Bonsai Exhibition at the Gardens of the World on the first weekend in October was a great success. We had a good selection of trees from both advanced and novice members. Every year sees the quality of displayed trees improving.

Both Saturday and Sunday were very busy days. We had many visitors asking many questions. Many thanks to all the members working who helped field and answer the questions.

We also had a good response to the four demonstrations. All were well attended and again many questions were asked. I am currently tending the four demonstration trees, which will be auctioned at our Holiday Potluck Dinner on December 15.
