T he Conejo Valley Bonsai Society is always looking for new ideas to invigorate members’ bonsai practices. Our June 2019 meeting will be no exception: the niche display will be some-thing different than the usual arrangement by one member.
Our fellow member Sheila Galinsky, before moving to Costa Rica, gave the club her trees. One tree is a work in progress with great potential and will be in our annual Holiday Raffle & Auction in December. We will bring it to our June meeting and look forward to the club members’ comments.
Our May meeting featured well known bonsai master Mel Ikeda making his first time visit to our club. It was a fun demonstration of his technique for building a tree-on-rock planting.
