W e have just completed our 9th Annual Bonsai Exhibition at the Gardens of the World. I would like to thank everyone for your participation and help. It could not have happened without you. We had many compliments on the show from the visitors!

This year we introduced the People’s Choice award. All the trees were numbered and the visitors selected their favorite tree, wrote down its number, and put it into the voting box. This was controlled by Grace Sy. She did the final tally (see story, below). The difficulty our visitors had was to only select 1!

Our September meeting with Roy Nagatoshi critiquing our show trees was also a big boost. It turned out to be a very enlightening evening. The last-minute tweaking paid off!
